What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Afuri Ramen Dumpling Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for certain training-related fees and costs. The initial franchise fee of $45,000 includes required training costs. However, franchisees must also pay training fees as described in Appendix B of the agreement, with due dates also specified in that appendix. These fees are paid to Afuri Ramen Dumpling for the training itself.
In addition to these training fees, franchisees are responsible for covering Afuri Ramen Dumpling's out-of-pocket expenses related to any additional training. These costs include transportation, meals, and lodging for the franchisor's training personnel. Afuri Ramen Dumpling will determine whether the franchisee must reimburse these costs or pay them in advance.
Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for the transportation, board, and lodging expenses incurred by the franchisee and their manager related to the training. Afuri Ramen Dumpling specifies that it will not be liable for any costs incurred if the agreement is terminated because the franchisee or their manager fails to satisfactorily complete the mandatory training course.
