Where must any catering and delivery services authorized by Afuri Ramen Dumpling be located?

According to the 2024 Afuri Ramen Dumpling Franchise Disclosure Document, Afuri Ramen Dumpling retains the right to sell products or services anywhere, including within a franchisee's territory, through various channels of distribution other than the Afuri restaurant franchise granted to the franchisee. These other distribution methods may include internet sales, telephone sales, catalogue sales, sales via online marketplaces, and other means.

Afuri Ramen Dumpling may place Afuri establishments in locations such as airport and mall food courts, stadiums, and similar limited access environments, regardless of the location of other Afuri operations. They may also place present and future Afuri products for sale in grocery stores and food markets at any location, whether or not within the Franchise Territory or within close proximity to an Afuri franchise.

This means that while a franchisee operates their Afuri Ramen Dumpling restaurant, the franchisor can also engage in alternative sales methods within the same territory. This could include online sales, sales through other venues like airports or grocery stores, and other distribution channels. The franchisee will not be compensated for any sales made through these alternative methods within their territory. This is a common practice in franchising, allowing the franchisor to explore multiple revenue streams while granting franchisees specific territorial rights for traditional restaurant operations.
