What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Afuri Ramen Dumpling's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor does not train any employees other than the designated managers. The document states that hiring and training of employees, other than designated managers, is the sole responsibility of the franchisee. This means that franchisees are fully responsible for training all hourly staff, cooks, servers, and other personnel necessary to operate the Afuri Ramen Dumpling restaurant.
This policy places the onus on the franchisee to develop and implement their own training programs or utilize the Operations Manual for guidance. While the Operations Manual may contain requirements and guidelines, Afuri Ramen Dumpling does not provide direct training for non-managerial staff.
Prospective franchisees should consider the implications of this policy, including the time and resources required to train staff, the potential costs associated with developing training programs, and the importance of maintaining brand standards through effective employee training. It is important for franchisees to factor in these responsibilities when assessing the overall investment and operational requirements of an Afuri Ramen Dumpling franchise.
