What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aerus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an Aerus franchisee must contribute to the System Media Fund if Aerus establishes one. Aerus will provide 30 days' notice before the franchisee is required to contribute. If established, franchisees would be required to contribute up to 3% of Gross Sales to the System Media Fund.
The System Media Fund will be used to cover the costs of advertising, marketing, public relations, and promotional programs. Aerus has the right to direct all advertising programs and aspects of the System Media Fund. Aerus is not obligated to ensure that any particular franchisee benefits directly or proportionally from the System Media Fund expenditures or to spend any particular amount of money in a franchisee's Area of Responsibility.
Aerus retains the right to terminate the System Media Fund, but only after all monies in the fund have been spent for marketing or promotional purposes. Any unspent amounts in the System Media Fund at the end of a fiscal year will be carried over for expenditure in the following years. Aerus may also loan funds to the System Media Fund to cover any deficit if the entire fund is expended during a fiscal year.
