What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aerus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise term is one year, as defined in Section 2 and Schedule 1 of the franchise agreement. The renewal term is also for one year, provided that Aerus is offering new franchises in the state where the franchise is located and the franchisee meets the requirements for renewal. Therefore, the renewal term can be the same length as the initial term.
To renew their Aerus franchise, a franchisee must meet several conditions. They must provide written notice of their intent to renew 30 days before the initial term expires. The franchisee must not be in default of the agreement at the time of renewal and must have achieved at least $10,000 in monthly Gross Sales for each of the six months before renewal.
Additionally, the franchisee must execute Aerus's then-current franchise agreement, which may have materially different terms and conditions than the original agreement. They must also pay a $100 renewal fee and sign a general release in favor of Aerus and its affiliates. Meeting these requirements ensures the franchisee can continue operating their Aerus business for another year.
