What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Aerus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay the System Media Fund Fee on a monthly basis. This fee contributes to a fund that Aerus manages to support advertising and promotional programs. The purpose of the System Media Fund is to enhance public recognition and acceptance of the Aerus system and its trademarks.

The funds collected are used to purchase various forms of media, including internet, electronic, event, radio, television, and print advertising, on local, regional, or national levels. Aerus has the discretion to decide on the creative concepts, materials, and media used in these programs, as well as their placement and allocation. The funds are kept in a separate account from Aerus's other monies.

Aerus is allowed to use the System Media Fund to cover reasonable administrative costs and overhead related to managing the fund and advertising programs. Additionally, Aerus can take a management fee of up to 5% of the total System Media Fund Fees collected each year. While the intention is to spend all contributions and earnings within the year, any excess amounts are carried over and used in subsequent years, with priority given to accumulated earnings before current year earnings and contributions.
