If the Aerus receipt is signed by an individual, what information must be included besides the signature?

According to Aerus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you are provided a receipt page, you must sign and date the copy of the receipt page and print your name. This signed receipt must then be returned to Aerus Franchising, LLC, Attention: Legal Department, 14841 Dallas Parkway, Suite 500, Dallas, Texas 75254. This process ensures that Aerus has confirmation that the franchisee has received and acknowledged the disclosure document.

This requirement is in place to document that the franchisee received the FDD and is aware of its contents. The FDD summarizes provisions of the franchise agreement and other information. It is provided to the prospective franchisee 14 calendar days before signing a binding agreement or making a payment.

States like Iowa and New York require the disclosure document to be given at the earlier of the first personal meeting or 10 business days (14 calendar days in Iowa) before the agreement or payment of any consideration. Michigan requires it at least 10 business days before signing any agreement or payment. If Aerus does not deliver the document on time, or if it contains false or misleading information, it should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission and the appropriate state agency.
