What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aerus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are restricted in their advertising activities. Specifically, an Aerus franchisee is prohibited from conducting any national or international advertising. This restriction is in place to ensure that advertising efforts are coordinated and consistent with the brand's overall marketing strategy.
Aerus franchisees are required to submit all advertising and promotional materials to Aerus for approval before they are used. Aerus will then notify the franchisee of their approval within 15 days of receipt. This process allows Aerus to maintain control over the messaging and branding associated with the franchise. Additionally, franchisees are not allowed to place advertisements or promotional materials outside of their designated Area of Responsibility.
Aerus also mandates that franchisees adhere to specific advertising guidelines outlined in the manuals or provided in writing. These guidelines dictate the manner in which franchisees must advertise, including the use of approved formats. This ensures that all advertising efforts align with Aerus's brand standards and marketing strategies. This level of control is common in franchising to maintain brand consistency and prevent conflicting marketing messages.
In summary, Aerus franchisees have limited autonomy in their advertising efforts. They must seek approval for all materials, restrict their advertising to their designated area, and follow the guidelines set forth by Aerus. This approach allows Aerus to maintain a consistent brand image and marketing strategy across all franchise locations.
