What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aerus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an 'Aerus Business' is defined by four specific characteristics. These defining features ensure that each franchise operates consistently and in accordance with the company's standards.
First, an Aerus Business must be identified by the company's Proprietary Marks, meaning it must use the brand's trademarks and logos in its operations and marketing. Second, it must be exclusively engaged in selling Proprietary Products to Approved Customers, limiting the business to selling only Aerus-approved products to customers who meet the franchisor's criteria.
Third, the business must operate from one or more Approved Locations, which function as a retail location, service center, and sales force instruction and training center. This implies that the physical location serves multiple purposes beyond just sales. Finally, an Aerus Business must operate in accordance with the Proprietary System, adhering to the methods, procedures, and standards established by Aerus for running the franchise.
