What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Aerus Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to establish and maintain a service and repair center at their Approved Location, adhering to the standards outlined in the manuals. This center is essential for providing prompt and professional care and service to customers, including fulfilling warranty obligations for products purchased from the franchisee or through their sales representatives. In cases where maintaining a service center at the Approved Location is not feasible, the franchisee may, with Aerus's prior approval, enter into a contractual arrangement with another Aerus business owner to handle these service and repair responsibilities.

This requirement ensures that Aerus customers receive consistent and reliable service, regardless of where they purchased their products. By maintaining a service center or having a pre-approved service arrangement, franchisees can uphold the brand's reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. This also allows Aerus to ensure that all warranty obligations are met, which is a critical aspect of customer retention and building trust in the brand.

For prospective franchisees, this means that they need to factor in the costs and logistics of operating a service and repair center when evaluating the franchise opportunity. Alternatively, they should explore the possibility of establishing a contractual arrangement with another Aerus business owner, although this is subject to Aerus's approval. Understanding these service requirements is crucial for franchisees to effectively manage their business and meet the expectations of Aerus and its customers.

It is important to note that the FDD excerpt does not specify the exact physical condition requirements for the Approved Location. While it mandates the establishment of a service and repair center, it does not detail specific standards for cleanliness, appearance, or maintenance of the location itself. A prospective franchisee should inquire with Aerus about any specific requirements or guidelines related to the physical condition and upkeep of the Approved Location to ensure compliance and maintain a professional image.
