What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Aerus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Aerus may periodically modify its standards and specifications related to the operation of an Aerus Business. These modifications can include standards and specifications for products, product components, spare parts, inventory, supplies, signage, equipment, consignment policies, sales and service policies, product warranties, and related standards. Aerus communicates these changes to franchisees through written notice or by making changes in the manuals.

This means that as an Aerus franchisee, you must stay informed of any updates to the brand's operational standards. Aerus has the right to change various aspects of the business, and it is your responsibility to implement those changes. The modifications can affect many facets of the business, from the products you sell to the way you handle sales and warranties.

The fact that Aerus communicates these changes in writing or through updated manuals is fairly standard in franchising. Franchise agreements typically grant franchisors the right to modify their systems to adapt to changing market conditions or improve efficiency. However, it is crucial for a franchisee to carefully review these changes and understand their implications for their business. For example, changes to product specifications or warranty policies could affect customer satisfaction and profitability.

Prospective franchisees should pay close attention to the sections of the Franchise Agreement and Manuals that address Aerus's right to make changes and the franchisee's obligations to comply with those changes. Understanding the scope of these modifications and how they will be communicated is essential for the successful operation of an Aerus franchise.
