What This Means (2023 FDD)
Based on the 2023 Franchise Disclosure Document, Advanced Mobile IV and AMIV requires franchisees to obtain written approval from the Franchisor for any products and services offered. Specifically, section 1.2 of the Advanced Mobile IV Franchise Agreement states that franchisees must offer only products and services designated by the franchisor and restricts them from offering any products or services not previously approved by the franchisor in writing. This includes featuring only products and services approved by the franchisor in writing.
This requirement ensures that all Advanced Mobile IV and AMIV franchises maintain a consistent brand image and service quality. It also allows the franchisor to control the types of services offered under the brand name, potentially mitigating risks associated with unapproved or substandard services.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they cannot independently introduce new services or products without the franchisor's explicit consent. This could limit the franchisee's flexibility in responding to local market demands or innovating their service offerings. Therefore, it is crucial for potential franchisees to understand the scope of approved services and the process for requesting approval for new offerings.
