Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We will furnish through virtual and distance learning and other electronic means and, at our option, at a designated training location of our choice (which may be our corporate headquarters, an operating 7 BREW Store, and/or your Store) an initial training program ("Initial Training") on operating a 7 BREW Store. We will train your ownership group, Store managers, and hourly employees at no additional charge. Initial Training will run for the time we specify and focuses on our philosophy, understanding our products, Brand Standards, and the material aspects of operating a 7 BREW Store (excluding aspects relating to labor relations and employment practices). Before you open the Store to the public, your Store management team must complete Initial Training to our satisfaction and pass applicable operations and proficiency tests in order to be "certified." Our training program may include a "train the trainer" module so that your seniorlevel personnel can learn how to train your other employees to follow Brand Standards. The Store must have at least two fully-trained managers on-site.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to 7 Brew's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Initial Training program focuses on several key areas necessary for operating a 7 Brew store. The training covers 7 Brew's core philosophy, ensuring that franchisees and their staff understand the brand's values and mission. A significant portion of the training is dedicated to understanding 7 Brew's products, which likely includes learning about the ingredients, preparation methods, and quality standards for the various beverages and food items offered.

Brand Standards are another critical component of the Initial Training, ensuring that all 7 Brew stores maintain a consistent and high-quality customer experience. The training also addresses the material aspects of operating a 7 Brew store, providing franchisees and managers with the knowledge and skills needed to manage day-to-day operations effectively. However, the training specifically excludes aspects related to labor relations and employment practices, meaning franchisees will need to seek other resources for managing their employees.

Before opening a 7 Brew store to the public, the store's management team must complete the Initial Training to 7 Brew's satisfaction and pass applicable operations and proficiency tests to become certified. The training program may also include a "train the trainer" module, enabling senior-level personnel to train other employees on Brand Standards. 7 Brew requires that each store has at least two fully-trained managers on-site, emphasizing the importance of thorough training and competent management. Franchisees are responsible for covering wages, benefits, and travel and lodging expenses for their store managers and employees during training, as well as maintaining workers' compensation insurance. Everyone attending the training must also be food-safety certified.
