Are there any known adverse material determinations regarding 7 Brew's copyrighted materials from the USPTO or the United States Copyright Office?

According to 7 Brew's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are currently no adverse material determinations from the USPTO, the United States Copyright Office, or any court regarding 7 Brew's copyrighted materials. 7 Brew and its affiliates claim copyrights in the Operations Manual, store blueprints, design features, signage, advertising and marketing materials, the System Website, and similar items used in developing and operating 7 Brew stores. While 7 Brew and its affiliates have not registered these copyrights with the United States Copyright Office, they do not currently need to do so to protect them.

As a franchisee, you are permitted to use these copyrighted items only as specified by 7 Brew while operating your store, and you must stop using them if directed by 7 Brew. The franchise agreement does not grant you any other rights with respect to copyrighted items if 7 Brew requires you to modify or discontinue their use. The license agreement described in Item 13 also covers copyrights and other intellectual property.

7 Brew does not know of any infringing uses of their copyrights that could materially affect your use of them. While 7 Brew intends to protect and defend their copyrights if it is in the system's best interests, they are not obligated to do so. 7 Brew has the right to control any action they choose to bring, even if you voluntarily bring the matter to their attention, and you must follow any instructions they give you. 7 Brew is not required to participate in your defense of or indemnify you for damages or expenses incurred in a copyright proceeding.
