Are 7 Brew franchisees required to comply with Brand Standards as modified periodically?
7_Brew Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You agree to comply with all Brand Standards, as we may periodically modify them, as if they were part of this Agreement. You may not offer, sell, or provide at or from the Store any products or services that are not authorized in the Operations Manual. You must offer, sell, and provide all products and services we prescribe from time to time. We may change such products and services from time to time and from market to market based on numerous considerations. Brand Standards may direct any aspect of the Store's operation and maintenance that is material to the goodwill associated with the Marks, the Franchise System, and 7 BREW Stores.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 7 Brew's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must comply with all Brand Standards, which 7 Brew may periodically modify. These modifications are treated as if they are part of the franchise agreement. Brand Standards can affect any aspect of the store's operation and maintenance that is material to the goodwill associated with the 7 Brew brand, the Franchise System, and 7 Brew Stores.
7 Brew retains the right to modify and supplement Brand Standards, which may require franchisees to invest additional capital in the store and incur higher operating costs. These Brand Standards become legally binding obligations once communicated by 7 Brew. While 7 Brew can establish and modify Brand Standards, franchisees retain complete responsibility and authority for the store's management and operation, including implementing and maintaining these standards.
Franchisees acknowledge the importance of operating the store in full compliance with the franchise agreement and Brand Standards. Deviation from any contractual requirement, including any Brand Standard, is considered a violation of the agreement and may result in administrative and management costs for 7 Brew to address. Franchisees must use the Marks as the Store's sole identification, subject to the notices of independent ownership 7 Brew periodically designates. Franchisees may not use any Mark in ways not expressly authorized in writing or without complying with Brand Standards communicated to them.
