What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to 7 Brew's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain approval from 7 Brew for all marketing materials. Specifically, if a franchisee intends to use marketing materials that 7 Brew has not prepared or previously approved, or if they plan to modify approved materials, they must submit samples or proofs to 7 Brew for approval.

7 Brew retains the right to approve or disapprove marketing materials to protect its brand standards. While 7 Brew states that it will not unreasonably withhold approval, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from using any marketing materials that 7 Brew has not approved or has disapproved. This requirement ensures that all marketing efforts align with 7 Brew's established brand identity and quality standards.

This stipulation is common in franchising, as franchisors like 7 Brew need to maintain consistent brand messaging and protect their trademarks. By controlling marketing materials, 7 Brew can ensure that franchisees do not misrepresent the brand or engage in misleading advertising. Prospective franchisees should factor in the time and potential costs associated with submitting marketing materials for approval and making any required revisions.
