What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 7 Brew Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly restricted from using or disclosing the brand's Marks or Specifications for any purposes that fall outside the scope of their Franchise Agreement. The Marks refer to the trademarks and associated goodwill of the "7 Brew Drive-Thru Coffee" brand. The Specifications pertain to the confidential and trade-secret details of the Unit. This restriction is in place unless the franchisee obtains prior written consent from 7 Brew or its affiliate, Brew Culture Franchise.

This provision ensures that 7 Brew maintains strict control over its brand identity and proprietary information. By preventing unauthorized use or disclosure, 7 Brew aims to protect its competitive advantage and brand reputation. This is a common practice in franchising, where franchisors need to safeguard their intellectual property and maintain consistency across all franchise locations.

For a prospective 7 Brew franchisee, this means they must be very careful about how they use and share information related to the 7 Brew brand and the design or operational specifications of their unit. Any use of the Marks or Specifications outside the bounds of the Franchise Agreement without explicit written permission could lead to a breach of contract and potential legal consequences. Franchisees should seek clarification from 7 Brew if they are unsure whether a particular use or disclosure is permitted.
