What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 7 Brew's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for each Traditional 7 Brew Store, the franchisee and their owners (or an Approved Affiliate and its owners) must sign 7 Brew's then-current form of franchise agreement. In addition to the franchise agreement, they must also sign related documents, including a Guaranty and Assumption of Obligations. The specific terms within these documents may differ significantly from those in the initial franchise agreement.
This means that as a prospective franchisee, you should be prepared to review and understand a new set of terms and conditions for each additional 7 Brew store you plan to open. The initial franchise agreement, referred to as the "First Franchise Agreement," might not be indicative of the terms you'll encounter in subsequent agreements. This is a common practice in franchising, as franchisors often update their agreements to reflect changes in the market, legal requirements, or their own business practices.
It is important to carefully examine these documents with legal counsel to understand your obligations and rights for each store. Pay close attention to any changes in fees, royalties, operational requirements, and termination clauses compared to your original agreement. Being aware of these potential differences is crucial for making informed decisions about expanding your 7 Brew franchise.
