What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 7 Brew's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 7 Brew designates the certified public accountant who may conduct an annual audit of the Brand Fund. The audit, if conducted, is at the Brand Fund's expense. While 7 Brew may choose to have the Brand Fund audited annually, they are not required to do so.
This means that 7 Brew retains control over the selection of the auditor, which is a common practice in franchising. The Brand Fund itself covers the costs of the audit, ensuring that franchisees are not directly billed for this expense. Franchisees may want to inquire about the frequency and scope of these audits to ensure transparency in the management of the Brand Fund.
It is important to note that 7 Brew will prepare an annual, unaudited statement of Brand Fund collections and expenses and share the statement electronically within sixty (60) days after their fiscal-year end or otherwise give a copy of the statement upon reasonable request. This provides franchisees with some visibility into the Brand Fund's financial activities, even if a formal audit is not conducted.
