What are the conditions that must be met before a 7 Brew franchisee can open their store for business?
7_Brew Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Before you open the Store for business, Store managers must complete Initial Training to our satisfaction and pass applicable operations and proficiency tests in order to be "certified." The Store must have two (2) fully-trained managers on-site.
We have the right to delay the Store's opening until all required training has been satisfactorily completed. (Franchise Agreement—Section 6.C)
If your Store manager fails to complete Initial Training to our satisfaction, or we determine after an inspection that retraining is necessary because the Store is not operating according to Brand Standards, we will offer a retraining session. You must pay all employee compensation and expenses during retraining. We have the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement if you fail to open the Store for business with a fully-training staff by the opening deadline. (Franchise Agreement—Section 6.B)

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, before a 7 Brew franchisee can open their store, several conditions must be met. Store managers must complete the Initial Training program to 7 Brew's satisfaction, including passing operations and proficiency tests to become certified. The store must have two fully-trained managers on-site before opening. If the store manager does not complete the initial training satisfactorily, or if a retraining is necessary after an inspection, 7 Brew will offer a retraining session, but the franchisee must cover all employee compensation and expenses during retraining.
7 Brew retains the right to delay the store's opening until all required training has been satisfactorily completed. Furthermore, 7 Brew has the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement if the franchisee fails to open the store with a fully-trained staff by the specified opening deadline. This underscores the importance of ensuring that staff training is thorough and meets 7 Brew's standards before commencing operations.
These requirements ensure that 7 Brew stores maintain consistent brand standards and operational quality from the outset. For a prospective franchisee, this means allocating sufficient time and resources for comprehensive staff training and being prepared to cover any retraining costs that may arise. Failing to meet these training requirements can lead to delays in opening or even termination of the franchise agreement, highlighting the critical role of training in the success of a 7 Brew franchise.
