What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 7 Brew retains the right to delegate its obligations under the Franchise Agreement to third-party designees. These designees can include 7 Brew's affiliates, agents, or independent contractors with whom they contract to fulfill these obligations. This delegation clause allows 7 Brew to outsource certain responsibilities or tasks related to the franchise operation to other entities or individuals.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that some aspects of 7 Brew's support, training, or other obligations might be handled by a third party rather than directly by 7 Brew itself. While 7 Brew maintains the overall responsibility, the day-to-day execution of certain tasks could be delegated.
This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as it allows the franchisor to scale operations and leverage specialized expertise. However, it's important for a franchisee to understand who these third-party designees are and what specific responsibilities they handle to ensure accountability and maintain consistent brand standards. A prospective franchisee should inquire about the types of obligations that are typically delegated and the qualifications or experience of the third-party designees involved.
