Answer from 2025 FDD Document

r training program may include a "train the trainer" module so that your seniorlevel personnel can learn how to train your other employees to follow Brand Standards. The Store must have at least two fully-trained managers on-site.

You are responsible for paying your Store managers' and other employees' wages, benefits, and TRE while they attend any on-site training. You are responsible for evaluating any information you believe you need to ensure your employees are accurately paid during training. You also are responsible for maintaining workers' compensation insurance for your employees during training and must send us proof of that insurance before the training program begins. Everyone attending training must be food-safety certified.

B. Retraining

If your Store managers fail to complete Initial Training to our satisfaction, or we determine after an inspection that retraining is necessary because the Store is not operating according to Brand Standards, we may offer a retraining session. You are responsible for all employee

compensation and TRE during retraining. The Store may commence and continue operation only if there are at least two fully-trained certified managers on staff who attend to be at the Store.

You may request additional or repeat training for your Store managers at the end of Initial Training if they do not feel sufficiently trained to operate a 7 BREW Store. We and you will jointly determine the duration of any additional training, which is subject to our personnel's availability. However, if you do not expressly inform us that your Store managers do not feel sufficiently trained to operate a 7 BREW Store, they will be deemed to have been trained sufficiently to operate a 7 BREW Store.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to 7 Brew's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for their employees' "TRE" (Training, Reimbursement, and Expenses) under various circumstances. While the FDD mentions TRE repeatedly, it does not specifically define which expenses are included.

7 Brew franchisees are responsible for covering their employees' compensation and TRE during initial training, retraining, ongoing training courses, and when an opening team is sent to their store for support. If the franchisee requests additional training or guidance, they must also pay 7 Brew personnel's daily charges, including wages, and TRE.

Because the specific costs covered under "TRE" are not defined in the FDD, prospective 7 Brew franchisees should seek clarification from the franchisor about what this encompasses. Understanding the full scope of these expenses is crucial for accurate financial planning.
