What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to 360 Painting's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not typically required to spend additional money annually on upgrades, updates, or maintenance of the required software programs because they are provided on a software-as-a-service basis. However, franchisees are responsible for ensuring their computer hardware performs adequately and remains compatible with the required software, which may necessitate servicing or upgrading the hardware.

The FDD states that the estimated annual cost for updating, upgrading, or maintaining computer hardware and software could range from $0 to $1,200. Additionally, franchisees must use business management software from an approved vendor. The initial cost of the customized software platforms is $5,000, with an ongoing Technology Fee of $210 per week, which 360 Painting can modify with notice.

While 360 Painting does not generally require annual spending on software upgrades, the responsibility for maintaining compatible hardware means franchisees should budget for potential hardware-related expenses. The ongoing Technology Fee for the business management software is a mandatory cost to consider. Prospective franchisees should clarify with 360 Painting what factors might influence the need for hardware upgrades and how frequently the Technology Fee has been adjusted in the past to better anticipate these costs.
