What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 360 Painting Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 9 outlines the franchisee's obligations, and it indicates a direct relationship between 'Pre-Opening Purchases/Leases' and Item 8, which details 'Restrictions on Sources of Products and Services.' This means that a 360 Painting franchisee's obligation to make certain purchases or leases before opening is directly tied to the restrictions the franchisor places on where they can source those products and services.
Specifically, Item 8 states that the standards and specifications for products and services, including computer hardware, are in the Brand Standards Manual. If a franchisee wants to use a product or service that 360 Painting hasn't evaluated or buy/lease from an unapproved supplier, they must provide sufficient information for 360 Painting to determine if it meets their standards. 360 Painting will then decide within 10 business days. This approval process covers product quality, delivery, service, financial capacity, customer relations, pricing, warranties, and incentives.
In essence, before a 360 Painting franchisee can fulfill their pre-opening purchase obligations, they must ensure that their planned purchases comply with the sourcing restrictions outlined in Item 8. This involves either using approved vendors and products or seeking approval for alternative sources, which could impact the franchisee's initial investment costs and operational flexibility. Franchisees should carefully review the Brand Standards Manual and communicate with 360 Painting to ensure compliance and avoid delays in their opening process.
