What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 360 Painting FDD, franchisees are responsible for maintaining the appearance of their business. This includes maintaining, at their own expense, the business itself, vehicles, machinery, equipment, and tools. If the franchisee owns or leases real property for the business, they must also maintain any fixtures, furnishings, furniture, décor, premises, parking areas, landscape areas, and interior and exterior signs. All of these must be kept in excellent, clean, attractive, and safe condition, adhering to the Brand Standards Manual and 360 Painting's high standards and public image.
The franchisee is obligated to promptly make all necessary repairs and replacements to maintain safety, proper repair, and condition, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity while complying with 360 Painting's standards. Should 360 Painting change its image or operational standards for the business or vehicles, the franchisee must comply with these changes at their own expense. This compliance must occur within a reasonable timeframe specified by 360 Painting, or within 30 days if no specific time is given after receiving notification of the change.
The financial burden of replacing vehicles, machinery, equipment, and tools falls exclusively on the franchisee. This comprehensive maintenance requirement ensures that all 360 Painting locations present a consistent and appealing brand image, which is a common practice in franchising to maintain brand uniformity and customer trust. Franchisees should budget accordingly for ongoing maintenance and potential upgrades to meet these standards.
