What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 360 Painting's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not required to purchase merchant services from 360 Painting's approved vendors. 360 Painting has a list of approved vendors for various products and services, including paint, tools, print marketing materials, direct mailing, merchant services, customer financing, job postings, payroll services, online portals for lead generation, background checks, insurance, and vehicle wraps. However, franchisees are not obligated to purchase from these specific vendors.
This provides 360 Painting franchisees with the flexibility to choose vendors that best suit their needs and budget for certain services. This contrasts with required purchases like contact center services, technology services, accounting and business advisory services, business management software, bookkeeping software, digital marketing, job estimating and proposal software, and online reputation management, where franchisees must use designated vendors.
While franchisees are not required to use approved vendors for all services, 360 Painting does have the authority to set standards and specifications for products and services used in the business. If a franchisee wishes to use a product, service, or vendor that hasn't been evaluated or approved, they must submit it to 360 Painting for approval. 360 Painting will then determine if it meets their standards and supplier criteria, a decision that will be made within 10 business days. This ensures that even when franchisees have a choice of vendors, the quality and standards of the 360 Painting system are maintained.
It is important to note that 360 Painting may receive rebates or other financial considerations from approved vendors based on franchisee purchases. During the 2024 fiscal year, 360 Painting derived $935,482 from franchisee purchases and leases, which represented 11.61% of their total revenue of $10,745,617. These financial arrangements with vendors could potentially influence the vendors that 360 Painting approves.
