Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Supplier approval may depend on product quality, delivery capabilities, service standards, financial capacity, customer relations, concentration of purchases with limited suppliers to obtain better pricing or purchasing terms, warranties, incentives provided to us or the System and any other criteria we determine is appropriate. We do not make our criteria for approving vendors available to franchisees. We may revoke our approval of any vendor at any time, by providing written notice or updating the Brand Standards Manual.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to 360 Painting's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, several factors may influence their supplier approval process. These factors include product quality, delivery capabilities, service standards, financial capacity, customer relations, and warranties. 360 Painting may also consider the concentration of purchases with limited suppliers to obtain better pricing or purchasing terms, incentives provided to them or the System, and any other criteria they deem appropriate. However, 360 Painting does not disclose their specific criteria for approving vendors to franchisees. They also retain the right to revoke approval of any vendor at any time, with written notice or an update to the Brand Standards Manual.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that while they can suggest new suppliers, the approval is at 360 Painting's discretion based on a range of criteria. The lack of transparency regarding the specific criteria could make it difficult for a franchisee to predict whether a proposed supplier will be approved. The franchisee is subject to changes in approved vendors, which could impact their supply chain and potentially their costs.

This level of control over suppliers is relatively common in franchising, as it allows the franchisor to maintain quality control and potentially negotiate better deals for the entire system. However, the lack of transparency can be a concern for franchisees who may want more control over their supply chain. It is important to note that 360 Painting can receive incentives from vendors, which may influence their decisions. Franchisees should consider these factors and ask 360 Painting for more information about the supplier approval process and the types of incentives they receive from vendors during their due diligence.
