[Item 15: OBLIGATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTUAL OPERATION OF THE FRANCHISED BUSINESS]
The Franchised Business must be under your direct supervision or the direct supervision of a qualified Operating Principal or Manager at all times. If you are an individual, you must be directly involved in the daily operations of the Franchised Business. If you are an Entity, you must appoint an Operating Principal who must have authority over all business decisions related to your Franchised Business, must have the power to bind you in all dealings with us, and must be directly involved in the daily operations of the Franchised Business. The Operating Principal must be disclosed when you sign the Franchise Agreement. If the Operating Principal changes you will be required to inform us in writing of the change. In addition, you may appoint a Manager to supervise the operation of the Franchised Business. Your Manager, who will be your on-site supervisor, is not required to have any ownership interest in you, but must successfully complete our training, including the Orientation Training.
You, your Operating Principal, and the Manager must at all times faithfully, honestly and diligently perform all obligations under the Franchise Agreement and continuously exert your and his or her full time and best efforts to promote and enhance the Franchised Business. You must hire employees and you will be exclusively responsible for the terms of their employment, their compensation, and for the proper training of the employees in the operation of the Franchised Business.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 1 800 Packouts Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchised Business must be under the direct supervision of the franchisee, a qualified Operating Principal, or a Manager at all times. If the franchisee is an individual, they must be directly involved in the daily operations. If the franchisee is an Entity, they must appoint an Operating Principal who has authority over all business decisions, the power to bind the entity in dealings with 1 800 Packouts, and must be directly involved in the daily operations. The Operating Principal must be disclosed when signing the Franchise Agreement, and 1 800 Packouts must be informed in writing if the Operating Principal changes.
In addition to the Operating Principal, the franchisee may appoint a Manager to supervise the operation of the Franchised Business. This Manager will be the on-site supervisor and is not required to have any ownership interest in the franchise. However, the Manager must successfully complete 1 800 Packouts' training, including Orientation Training.
The franchisee, the Operating Principal, and the Manager must at all times faithfully, honestly, and diligently perform all obligations under the Franchise Agreement. They must continuously exert their full-time and best efforts to promote and enhance the Franchised Business. The franchisee is responsible for hiring employees, their terms of employment, compensation, and proper training in the operation of the Franchised Business.
