What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 1 800 Packouts Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has the right to advertise, market, solicit, and service any customer within their territory who desires inventorying, packing, moving, cleaning, deodorizing, and storage services. This means a franchisee can actively promote and provide these specific services to customers located within their designated area. However, this right is subject to certain exceptions and the franchisee's compliance with the Franchise Agreement.
1 800 Packouts grants franchisees an exclusive right to operate a facility within their territory that includes permanent climate-controlled private storage units, cleaning rooms, and an office meeting minimum specifications. Franchisees also have a protected right to market to and provide services to customers in their territory. The franchisor will not establish or authorize anyone else to establish a franchised business or facility in the franchisee's territory during the agreement term, and any leads relating to jobs in the territory will be promptly provided to the franchisee.
It's important to note that while franchisees have territorial rights, 1 800 Packouts and its affiliates retain the right to market to and solicit referrals from referral sources within the franchisee's territory. They also have the right to provide services to customers within the territory under certain conditions, such as through National Accounts or during Catastrophic Events when the franchisee may not have the capacity to meet the increased demand. Franchisees must remain in compliance with the Franchise Agreement to maintain their territorial rights and receive referrals from the 1 800 Packouts call center.
