- (1) You acknowledge that the development and operation of the Franchised Business in accordance with our System Standards is essential to preserve the reputation and high standards of quality and service of Franchised Businesses and the goodwill associated with the Marks. You must develop and operate the Franchised Business in accordance with each and every System Standard, as periodically modified or supplemented by us. System Standards may govern any and all aspects of the development and operation of the Franchised Business, including, without limitation, the following:
- (a) design, layout, décor, color schemes, graphics appearance and lighting; periodic maintenance, cleaning and sanitation; periodic remodeling; replacement of obsolete or worn-out leasehold improvements and Operating Assets; periodic painting; and use of interior and exterior signs, emblems, lettering and logos and the illumination thereof;
- (b) delivery of services;
- (c) collection and storage of customer's property;

According to the 2025 1 800 Packouts Franchise Disclosure Document, 1 800 Packouts retains the authority to modify or supplement the System Standards. Franchisees must operate their business in accordance with these System Standards, as 1 800 Packouts may periodically modify or supplement them. System Standards govern all aspects of the Franchised Business. These standards are essential for maintaining the quality, service, and reputation of 1 800 Packouts franchises.
System Standards can include design, layout, decor, color schemes, graphics, maintenance, cleaning, remodeling, and signage. They also cover the delivery of services, collection, and storage of customer property. This wide scope means 1 800 Packouts has considerable control over how franchisees operate.
1 800 Packouts also has the right to establish new technology standards in writing. Franchisees must comply with these new standards. Franchisees are also responsible for adhering to all laws, industry standards, and payment card provider standards related to the security of their Management Systems and customer data. Franchisees bear the risk of any consequences arising from system failures, improper operation, or data breaches.
