What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 1 800 Packouts' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand will publish its requirements for specifications, required supplier approvals, or designated suppliers for particular items or services in its Manuals. These manuals contain the System Standards for operating a 1 800 Packouts franchise.
1 800 Packouts has the right to require franchisees to purchase or lease products, supplies, services, and operating assets that meet the brand's established specifications. These specifications may include minimum standards and requirements for quantity, design, appearance, function, performance, serviceability, and warranties. The brand may also require that these items be a specific brand, kind, or model and be purchased or leased only from approved suppliers or a designated single source, which may include 1 800 Packouts or its affiliates.
If a franchisee proposes to purchase any products, supplies, services, or operating assets that are not already approved by 1 800 Packouts, the franchisee must notify 1 800 Packouts and submit written specifications, photographs, drawings, samples, or other information for the brand to determine whether the proposed items comply with its standards. 1 800 Packouts will then decide whether to approve or disapprove the supplier or item at its sole discretion. However, 1 800 Packouts does not make its criteria for approving suppliers available to franchisees.
