What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 1 800 Packouts Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has the option to renew their license for an additional term of 10 years. This renewal term, when combined with the initial term, is referred to as the "Term".

To be eligible for renewal, the franchisee must provide written notice of their intent to renew to 1 800 Packouts. This notice must be given no less than 60 months and no more than 6 months before the end of the initial term or any subsequent renewal term. Additionally, the franchisee must not be in material breach of the franchise agreement or any other agreements with 1 800 Packouts. They also need to have substantially complied with all the conditions and requirements of these agreements in a timely manner.

As a condition of renewal, the franchisee and their owners will need to execute a general release, in a form prescribed by 1 800 Packouts, that releases any claims against 1 800 Packouts, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, agents, and employees. The renewal will be formalized through the execution of 1 800 Packouts' then-current form of franchise agreement, which may have terms that differ from the original agreement. The franchisee will not receive the right to enter into an additional renewal term in such renewal franchise agreement. A renewal fee of $10,000 is payable upon renewal of the License.
