What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 1 800 Packouts's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee requests on-site assistance from the franchisor and 1 800 Packouts is able to schedule it at a mutually agreeable time, the franchisee is responsible for covering all associated expenses. These expenses include 1 800 Packouts's reasonable fees for providing the on-site support, as well as the travel, lodging, and per diem costs incurred by 1 800 Packouts personnel during their visit.
This means that beyond the standard franchise fees and ongoing royalties, a 1 800 Packouts franchisee needs to budget for potential on-site assistance costs. These costs can vary depending on the duration of the assistance required, the distance traveled by the 1 800 Packouts personnel, and the local costs of lodging and per diem. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the circumstances under which they might need on-site assistance and to factor these potential expenses into their financial projections.
Franchisees should discuss with 1 800 Packouts what typical situations might call for on-site support, how the fees for such assistance are calculated, and what the average travel, lodging, and per diem expenses have been for other franchisees. This will help in creating a realistic budget and avoiding unexpected costs during the operation of the 1 800 Packouts franchise.
