What factors influence the cost of the 1 800 Packouts Management Systems?

According to 1 800 Packouts's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the cost to purchase the Management Systems ranges from $500 to $5,000. This cost is influenced by two primary factors: the size of the franchisee's business and the amount of equipment the franchisee already owns. The estimate includes the cost of licensing the software required for the Management Systems.

1 800 Packouts requires franchisees to obtain specific computer hardware, mobile devices, and software, including Xactimate insurance repair estimating software, inventory software, at least one iPad, an office computer, and a printer/copier. If a third-party administrator (TPA) or carrier requires different estimating software, the franchisee may be required to use that software as well. Additionally, franchisees must install a firewall and up-to-date anti-virus software on all computer hardware used for the franchised business.

Modifications to the specifications for the components of the Management Systems may lead to additional costs for purchasing, leasing, or licensing new or modified hardware, mobile devices, or software. Franchisees will also need to obtain service and support for the Management Systems throughout the term of the Franchise Agreement. 1 800 Packouts reserves the right to charge a reasonable systems fee for software or system modifications and enhancements, as well as for maintenance and support services related to the Management Systems.
