What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 1 800 Packouts Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay the annual conference registration fee by February 1st of each year. The FDD specifies that this fee is per owned franchise. Franchisees are also responsible for covering the costs of wages, travel, and living expenses for themselves and their trainees when attending the annual conference or any other required programs or conferences.
1 800 Packouts may also require franchisees, their Operating Principal, Manager, and/or designated employees to attend optional or mandatory refresher training, ongoing educational training, seminars, conferences, webinars, and regional or national meetings related to the operation of the franchised business. These events may take place at locations selected by 1 800 Packouts. Additionally, designated employees may be required to obtain specific certifications.
1 800 Packouts may charge a reasonable fee for each trainee required or scheduled to attend these programs and conferences, regardless of actual attendance. If training is conducted at the franchisee's business, the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing 1 800 Packouts for the living and travel expenses of their representatives providing the training. Franchisees should budget not only for the registration fee but also for all associated travel, lodging, and wage costs for themselves and their employees.
