What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, 1 800 Packouts has not conducted media advertising. However, 1 800 Packouts may choose to formulate, develop, produce, and conduct advertising or promotional programs in various forms and media as they determine to be most effective. These media options include print, radio, television, telephone, smart phone, social media, and the Internet.
1 800 Packouts franchisees are required to contribute a marketing fee of up to 3% of their gross sales to the Brand Fund, which 1 800 Packouts administers. The Brand Fund is used to build brand awareness through various channels, but not for soliciting new franchise sales. Franchisees are also required to conduct local marketing in their area and may be required to participate in certain advertising or marketing programs at their own expense.
1 800 Packouts maintains control over digital marketing efforts, including websites and social media accounts, and franchisees are generally restricted from conducting their own digital marketing using the 1 800 Packouts marks without written consent. Franchisees are responsible for ensuring their employees comply with 1 800 Packouts's marketing policies and standards. This centralized approach to digital marketing ensures brand consistency but limits the franchisee's autonomy in online promotion.
