Training By You. You must hire all employees and staff of the Franchised Business, be exclusively responsible for the terms of their employment and compensation, and be exclusively responsible for ensuring that such employees and staff are trained in accordance with the System in the proper operation of the Franchised Business. You acknowledge that you, and not us, are the employer for any employees or personnel of the Franchised Business. We will not provide any hiring assistance, advice or guidance.
ITEM 12 TERRITORY

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 1 800 Packouts's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 1 800 Packouts does not provide assistance in the hiring of employees. The FDD states that the franchisee is responsible for hiring all employees and staff of the Franchised Business. The franchisee is also exclusively responsible for the terms of their employment, compensation, and ensuring that such employees and staff are trained in accordance with the System.
1 800 Packouts will provide System/Procedure Training, including instruction about how franchisees will make decisions for employees or contractors. The franchisee acknowledges that they, and not 1 800 Packouts, are the employer for any employees or personnel of the Franchised Business.
While 1 800 Packouts does not assist in the direct hiring of employees, they do provide initial and ongoing training programs to the franchisee and their staff. The franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with wages, travel, and living expenses for themselves and their trainees to attend these programs. There are also fees for additional trainees or repeated training sessions. The initial training program includes both classroom and hands-on job training at the company headquarters or a designated location.
