What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to 1 800 Packouts's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the predecessor to the current franchisor, 1800Packouts Franchise, LLC, was organized on October 3, 2014, as a Georgia limited liability company. This entity offered 1-800-PACKOUTS franchises from its inception until it was succeeded through a restructuring transaction connected to the Parent company acquiring it.
Understanding the history of the franchise system can be valuable for prospective franchisees. Knowing when the predecessor was formed and began franchising helps gauge the brand's experience in the market. The fact that the original company was restructured and acquired by a parent company (FS PEP Holdco, LLC) in January 2022, an affiliate of Princeton Equity Group, LLC, indicates a significant change in ownership and potentially in the strategic direction of 1 800 Packouts.
It is important for potential franchisees to investigate the reasons behind the restructuring and acquisition. This includes understanding how the new ownership might impact the franchise system, such as changes to the franchise agreement, operating procedures, or support services. Additionally, franchisees should inquire about the financial stability and long-term plans of the parent company to ensure the continued success and growth of the 1 800 Packouts franchise system.
