Note 1. All training takes place at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s principal offices in Vancouver, British Columbia (or another location to be determined) over the course of 5 business days. Each day of training will begin at approximately 8:00 AM and will end at 5:00 PM.
Note 2. Our Field Operations Manager assigned to you will be in your business to support you during the opening days of your franchise. Within 180 days of your business launch, we will do a field visit to revisit training in the field at your operation.
Note 3. Sherman Leung, our Start-Up Operations Manager, runs our training program. He has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since June 2022, and has 15 years of relevant experience in the field related to training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program takes place over the course of 5 business days. Each day of training is scheduled to begin around 8:00 AM and conclude at 5:00 PM. The training is held at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s main office in Vancouver, British Columbia, or at another location that may be determined.
In addition to the initial training program, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? requires in-field training, where the franchisee shadows an existing franchise. This in-field training also lasts for 5 business days. The franchisee will shadow all roles within the franchise, including Truck Team Member, Field Operations Manager, and Franchise Partner. This in-field training may take place in the Nashville area (East), Las Vegas (West), or another location to be determined.
The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? FDD specifies that the Principal Operator must attend initial training, and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? may also require any other director, officer, or shareholder of the franchisee's entity to attend. The initial training must be successfully completed at least 2 weeks before the commencement of the franchised business’s operations. Franchisees are responsible for travel and living expenses for themselves and their attendees, although continental breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner are provided on training days.
