According to the 2025 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Disclosure Document, the Brand Excellence training is held in Vancouver, BC, or at another location to be determined. This training is part of the initial training program for new franchisees.
The initial training program covers all aspects of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? business operating system, including both classroom and on-the-job training. The franchisor conducts this training program as often as needed, rather than on a fixed schedule. The initial training program is mandatory for the Principal Operator, and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? may also require any other director, officer, or shareholder to attend.
Prospective franchisees should note that while there is currently no charge for the Principal Operator and other required attendees to attend the initial training, they are responsible for all travel and living expenses. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? provides continental breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner on training days. The initial training must be completed successfully at least two weeks before the franchise commences operations.
In addition to the initial training, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? may also require franchisees and their employees to attend periodic refresher training, service training, management training, and other courses. The franchisor determines the timing, location, and content of these sessions, which may be delivered in person or electronically. Franchisees are responsible for training fees and all out-of-pocket costs associated with additional training.
