What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s initial training program does include 'Sales Engagement Training'. The training program is designed to cover all aspects of the business operating system through both in-class and in-field training. The company conducts its initial training program as often as needed, rather than on a fixed schedule.
The initial training program includes a variety of subjects such as 'Welcome to the Junktion', 'Intro to Franchise Support', 'Exceptional Marketing', 'Recruitment', 'Daily Operations', 'People and Culture', 'Business Planning Session', 'NASA', 'Fleet', 'Axonify', and 'Sales Engagement Training'. The FDD does not specify the exact number of hours dedicated to 'Sales Engagement Training'.
All training sessions take place at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s principal offices in Vancouver, British Columbia, or another location to be determined, over five business days. Each day of training runs from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A Field Operations Manager will also support the franchisee during the opening days, with a field visit within 180 days of the business launch to revisit training in the field. Sherman Leung, the Start-Up Operations Manager, runs the training program, which is overseen by Michael Lord, the Vice President of Operations.
