Note 1. All training takes place at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s principal offices in Vancouver, British Columbia (or another location to be determined) over the course of 5 business days. Each day of training will begin at approximately 8:00 AM and will end at 5:00 PM.
Note 2. Our Field Operations Manager assigned to you will be in your business to support you during the opening days of your franchise. Within 180 days of your business launch, we will do a field visit to revisit training in the field at your operation.
Note 3. Sherman Leung, our Start-Up Operations Manager, runs our training program. He has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since June 2022, and has 15 years of relevant experience in the field related to training. Michael Lord, our Vice President, Operations, oversees our training program. He has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since 2016, and has over nine years of relevant experience in the field related to training.
Note 4. In-field training shadowing an existing franchise is required before the commencement of the Franchised Business’s operations. It is expected time is spent shadowing all roles within the franchise: Truck Team Member, Field Operations Manager, and Franchise Partner, and will generally take 5 business days. This may occur in the Nashville area (East), or Las Vegas (West), or another location to be determined.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is held at the company's principal offices in Vancouver, British Columbia, or potentially at another location determined by 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. This training spans five business days, with each day running from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The initial training program covers all aspects of the business operating system, including both classroom and on-the-job training.
In addition to the training in Vancouver, franchisees are required to participate in in-field training by shadowing an existing franchise for about five business days. This in-field training may take place in the Nashville (East) area, Las Vegas (West) area, or another location to be determined. The purpose of this is to allow the franchisee to spend time shadowing all roles within the franchise, including Truck Team Member, Field Operations Manager, and Franchise Partner.
The Principal Operator of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise must attend the initial training, and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? may also require other directors, officers, or shareholders to attend. There is no current charge for the attendance of required individuals. However, franchisees are responsible for all travel and living expenses for themselves and their attendees, although continental breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner are provided on training days. Initial training must be completed at least two weeks before the commencement of the franchise's operations.
