What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Disclosure Document, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? provides an initial inventory of supplies to be used in operating the franchised business. The types and quantities of these supplies are determined by 1-800-GOT-JUNK? at its sole discretion. This initial supply is part of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s obligations to the franchisee.

1-800-GOT-JUNK? also provides marketing materials and other sales aids, but these are provided to the franchisee at the franchisee's sole cost. This means that while 1-800-GOT-JUNK? develops these materials, the franchisee is responsible for paying for them.

This arrangement is fairly typical in franchising, where the franchisor controls brand standards and marketing but franchisees often bear the costs of local marketing efforts and supply replenishment. A prospective 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchisee should clarify what the initial inventory includes, how frequently they will need to replenish supplies, and the estimated costs of ongoing marketing materials to budget accordingly.
