Prospective franchisees should note that the initial training program covers all aspects of the business operating system and includes both in-class and in-field training. The FDD does not specify the duration of the 'Customer Experience' training session.
Franchisees are required to ensure their Principal Operator attends the initial training. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? may also require any other director, officer, or shareholder to attend. While there is currently no charge for required attendees, franchisees are responsible for all travel and living expenses. Continental breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner are provided on training days. In-field training shadowing an existing franchise is also required, where time is spent shadowing all roles within the franchise, such as Truck Team Member, Field Operations Manager, and Franchise Partner. This typically takes 5 business days and may occur in the Nashville area (East), or Las Vegas (West), or another location to be determined.
